About Us
Welcome! We are so glad you are a part of the early stages of our dream. We are Brooks and Micala, and this website is the beginning of a journey we are thrilled to share with you.
Our story began in 2014 when a couple of teenagers were introduced through our mutual friend, thank God for you, Jesse. What began as high school sweethearts quickly grew into something more profound as it became clear to us that God has led us together, weaving our lives into a shared purpose rooted in faith.
Today, that shared purpose has grown into a dream to build a refuge for all of God’s creation. While we are working behind the scenes to bring our dream to fruition, we wanted to create a digital space to share our hearts, our progress, and our faith with you right now.

As a couple who loves the outdoors, we have spent many days and nights admiring God’s beauty in the nature that surrounds us. Some of the moments where we have felt closest and most connected to God were while admiring His creation.
Above all else, our goal and desire is to spread His love to each soul that we interact with. We would love to one day do that in an environment meant to highlight the wonders of His works.
Our dream for Camp Margaret is to create a safe haven for all of God’s creation. Conservation, rehabilitation, and refuge are our priorities. We hope that every living thing that one day seeks sanctuary at Camp Margaret is able to feel God’s love in the beauty of His creation. We pray that we will be able to provide a staple to the community, support local artists and vendors, protect native species’ and offer refuge and rehabilitation to anyone who seeks it.
